What's the difference between the three tiers?
Researcher covers the research workflow — prior art, patent drafting (2/mo), and monitoring. Builder doubles-down on tool quotas (4 drafts, 5 forges), adds 40% device discounts and monthly course drops. Inventor Pro unlocks the full commercialization suite — all 7 AI tools unlimited, Patent Intelligence Hub, Investor Deck Generator, Dossier Workspace, Portfolio Dashboard, and CRM.
I'm already on the $49/mo plan. Does anything change?
Yes — your Patent Drafter and Invention Forge quotas update to the new Researcher limits (2/month each). Your existing discount (30% off) and all tools remain active. You can upgrade to Builder or Inventor Pro anytime.
How do build plan allocations work?
At signup you receive your tier's starting allocation (3 for Researcher, 4 for Builder, 5 for Pro). Each month you receive +1 additional plan automatically. Plans carry over — they don't expire. Additional plans beyond your balance can be purchased at your tier's discount rate (30%/40%/50% off retail).
Can I upgrade between tiers?
Yes. Researcher → Builder → Inventor Pro upgrades go through Stripe and take effect immediately. Stripe handles proration on the current billing cycle. On upgrade, you receive the difference in initial plan allocation instantly.
When do monthly tool quotas reset?
Quotas reset on the 1st of each calendar month. Unused quota doesn't roll over — use them within the month.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Month-to-month for all tiers, no cancellation fee. Access continues until the end of your billing period.
What's the 5% brokerage commission?
Inventor Pro members who list their IP on the ScalarForge Marketplace are eligible for brokerage services. We handle buyer matching, term negotiation, and closing — we take 5% on completed deals.
